BIO:
While a high school student in Hong Kong, Bunny became hooked to the
game after a friend introduced him to it. He started off as a penhold player
and played without any formal coaching. He then moved to the US in 1977 and
could not find any table-tennis clubs so started playing tennis. In the
early nineties, a friend of his named Joe Ching told him about the Berkeley
Table Tennis Club to Bunny's delight and Bunny began playing table-tennis
again five times a week at various clubs in Northern California. He started
playing tournaments and recently crossed 2100 after a great tournament in
the 2004 Western Open in City Beach Fremont. His favorite players to watch
are World and Olympic Champion Kong Linghui and 3-time European Men's
Singles Champion Vladimir Samsonov. He currently works at Rite Aid as a
pharmacy manager and has two promising kids who are showing talent and
passion for the game. They are his ten-year old son, Kanon Lee, and his
eight-year old daughter, Aria Lee, who are being coached by Bunny and
Masaaki Tajima at Sunset Club. They hope to go to the Junior Olympics in the
near future. Bunny plays with the shakehand grip today and hopes to see the
US Team move into the top 10 in the world in his lifetime.
