| BIO:
When very young, Colleen found an old paddle in her Dad's drawer and started hitting a ball against a wall. She then entered the table-tennis world as her parents had heard about the junior program in Palo Alto. She has been coached primarily by Valery Sarkisov, Dennis Davis, and Jack Wu and calls her biggest table-tennis accomplishment to be winning the Under 1900 Women's event at the 2005 US Nationals. She loves the thrill of playing well but wishes she had a good regular practice partner. Despite table-tennis being her favorite sport, school keeps her very busy and creates her inconsistent practice schedule. She enjoys learning new things at school and hopes to go to a strong engineering school in California for college. When she does have her brief moments of free time, she enjoys Star Wars and music. Her favorite player is phenom Ai Fukuhara who is a household name in Japan and like Colleen, uses pips on her backhand. |
