BIO:

Peter started off playing recreational ping-pong at home with his siblings like countless other Americans.  While working as a musician in the Bahamas in his mid-twenties, Peter met a Yugoslavian Olympic water polo player who was also a table-tennis coach.  This opened Peter's eye to the world of table-tennis as he had never previously thought that he was a horrible player and a beginner.  The coach gave Peter some demonstrations of the proper strokes and Peter took it to heart.  He soon went to Marty "The Money Player" Reisman's club upon his return to Manhattan and lost game after game to 21 to a player who spotted him 17 points.  Peter lost a dollar each time he lost a game.

When he moved to this area, he started going to the San Francisco and Berkeley clubs and watched and studied the proper forms and learned to play somewhat correctly.  He studied video tapes and started playing 3-4 times a week and thus his game started resembling one of a tournament player.  Despite starting to play at age 27, Peter impressively has reached his current level and that, without the help of regular coaching.  He has won numerous rating events including the Under 2150 event at a 4-star NATT tournament and the Under 2200 event at a 2-star tournament.  Peter has beaten several 2200+ players and a few 2300+ players in tournaments.

Peter likes the feeling of executing a proper shot just as planned and playing well under pressure.  However, he does not like unforced errors and feeling slow when playing against faster opponents.  Golf is the only other sport that rivals his interest in table-tennis.  By profession, he was once a musician but now is a software engineer.
