Vineet was born in San Jose and starting playing table-tennis at the age of 11 at the Palo Alto Table Tennis Club and has been playing numerous local and national tournaments since. His table-tennis adventures have taken him to Sweden at the age of sixteen for a summer of training. His biggest table-tennis accomplishments include finishing second at the 1997 Junior Olympics Youth Under 22 Years Old singles event, finishing top three in a national doubles age event, and finishing second in the 2004 Collegiate Nationals in the team event. He was the #1 player on the UCLA team that finished second. Vineet finished up his graduate computer science work at UCLA and upon being a certified coach, he taught a class at UCLA in Fall 2004. He went to Stanford for his undergraduate studies and currently works at Paypal.
